Honours Research Thesis - NILM
During my honours year at UNSW I chose to research non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM). I continued the work of previous students by developing a second iteration of a high frequency data acquisition device which could:
- Sample mains voltage and current at a frequency of 250kHz
- Collect relevant metadata
An adjacent component of the thesis involved signal processing and data analysis for which I learnt about various machine learning techniques. My final mark was 84/100 (distinction).
